2nd/3rd Line – IT Support Engineer

Our client is seeking a 2nd Line Engineer/3rd Line - IT Support Engineer to be part of their growing team, based in Mayfair, London.Working PatternParticipation in the Work on call weekend Rota is compulsory which is once every month. You will be paid an additional £250.00 for the work on call shift.You will effectively be a standby employee on the weekend shift. When there is an unexpected or emergency demand over the weekend, this strategy is used.Job Responsibilities• This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional with MS Server, Desktop, Active Directory and Networking skills to join a fantastic company promoting unique solutions and a hands-on approach.• This position will be providing a mixture of 2nd/3rd line service desk/remote support (some 1st line), field support and the installation of IT projects and managed services to their growing customer base.It is also essential to have a working knowledge and practical experience of the following:Microsoft Desktop & Office Systems Microsoft Server and Virtualisation Technologies, Active Directory Security and Administration, GPO Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP Support of hardware, printers, desktops and Servers + laptops Email, Antivirus & Backup software Networking knowledge regarding WAN, LAN, VLAN, VPN, WLAN, layer 2/3 switching, Firewalls and Routers.
