Accountant

Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a professional services firm in Southsea, Portsmouth. The client is looking to recruit an Accountant on a permanent basis. The sits with a growing team, supported by a team of both commercial and technical individuals.Key Accountabilities Preparation and submission of statutory accounts.Preparation of tax returns and assessments for a range of organisational structures.Assist with VAT returns.Some audit work, though the role is principally accounts-focused.Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.Liaise with HMRC on client matters.Confidently liaise with clients, attending meetings and helping with queries.Support with general accountancy services and business advice.Manage a diverse and impressive portfolio of clients.Provide training and development for junior staff.Work closely with senior team members.Promote and strive for customer service excellence.Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
