Elevate your career with us, where every day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact.The roleAs a General Manager for Midlands Central you will have full responsibility for the significant operating profit, sales, operations and safety of the business operations, including one of our flagship and most profitable quarries, Bardon Hill.You will lead 5 sites that span from Leicestershire to Staffordshire and lead a total team of 300 employees. The super quarry has long term reserves and is highly profitable, with a significant proportion of material servicing the manufacture of ready mix concrete, asphalt and concrete products.This is a high profile, dynamic role in which you will own the long term strategy of the region and mobilise ambitious plans to increase use of green solutions and encourage innovation that will result in products that your customers want. There is also a huge opportunity to be involved in digitisation and automation technology, to help our sites to continue to be safe and efficient.You will play a key part in adding value to our local communities through sponsorship opportunities and will work closely with the Sustainability team to ensure biodiversity and restoration is a key priority.You will have the autonomy and accountability to effectively manage your own business and identify ways to increase profitability and new ways of working.
