Asset Surveyor

I am looking for an Asset Surveyor to join a Social Housing provider in the Colchester area. The Asset Surveyor will be given the opportunity to manage multiple work streams across Capital Works/ Housing Improvements and Net Zero Carbon programmes. This role offers a generous pension and annual leave.
What is required of the Asset Surveyor:
Produce schedules and specifications of works
Monitor contractors performances against targets
Assist, review and monitor spending of budgets, being responsible for ensuring budgetary control is effective and efficient
Carry out stock condition, building, measured Surveys
Day to day running of works; carry out inspections and handovers.
Lead, manage and develop a small team of assistant asset managers and trainees

We are looking for an Asset Surveyor with:
Excellent communication, project management, organisation and ICT skills.
Working knowledge of building pathology, repairs, and maintenance process within a local authority
A minimum of an HNC / HND or equivalent, with working experience.
Experience of specification writing and building design.
Management of Health & Safety processes
Excellent working knowledge of Construction and relevant regulations/legislation.
Good knowledge of rented and leasehold property maintenance including section 20 procedures.
