Assistant Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a charismatic and confident Assistant Manager to join our team at Pizza on the Park! This full time position would suit someone who loves a fast-paced environment and is a natural leader, able to instantly connect with our customers and motivate the front of house team.

Offering stunning Neapolitan style pizzas as well as other authentic Italian dishes in a recently renovated, bright and beautiful space filled with art and greenery, Pizza on the Park is the place to be on Park Street for the best pizza in Bristol (if we say so ourselves). Soon to reach it's 3-year anniversary since opening, Pizza on the Park is the youngest sibling of our four restaurants that make up Quarter - an independent hospitality group based only in Clifton, Bristol!

We are looking for someone who loves hospitality and is ready to jump into a new Assistant Manager role in Bristol's top spot for pizza (#1 for pizza restaurants in Bristol on Tripadvisor!). Read on for more!

Key information for the Assistant Manager role:

Hours: Full time, to include evening and weekend work. Please note that, if you have a certain weekly commitment which means there is a certain day or evening of the week where you're usually unavailable to work, this is usually something we can work around!

Salary: Package of £30,500 per annum. This comprises a basic salary of £27,500 plus £3000 in on-target bonuses and service charge

A typical shift: Working a combination of daytime and evening shifts, you will be the manager on duty on rotation with the General Manager and your fellow Assistant Manager. Either hosting at the door and keeping a check on the floor or even serving on tables yourself, you'll motivate the team to deliver our trademark friendly, fun service. Pizza on the Park has been seeing incredible success lately, as such you can expect busy, buzzing shifts in this vibrant environment!

About our ideal Assistant Manager:

As Assistant Manager, you will be:

A confident people person who is switched on and willing to get stuck in!
Comfortable and competent leading a team - we're looking for someone with some experience supervising or leading a FOH team in a busy restaurant setting
Able to juggle multiple demands whilst keeping tabs on your team and the venue
Reliable, versatile and hard-working
Organised and efficient
Able to work to a rota including weekends - the restaurant is open seven days a week from Midday 10pm (11pm on Fridays and Saturdays)

You'll be a key part of the management team at Pizza on the Park - working closely with the General Manager, Aruna, to ensure that the restaurant goes from strength to strength!

What youll be doing as Assistant Manager:
Duty management of our restaurant - working a mixture of day and evening shifts
Checking guest feedback on Tripadvisor and other online forums and responding as needed
Training, holding one to one meetings and motivating your team to ensure they provide great service
Maintaining high standards of quality control
Checking stock levels and ordering stock
Cash handling and daily cash ups
Contributing ideas to help drive the business forward
Managing a large front of house team as well as serving customers yourself - our management teams are very hands-on!
