Associate Director to join
the
Fund Operations International Team
and be initially responsible for managing the liquidation/winddown of a number of international real estate funds and SPV's.
THE ROLE responsibilities of an Associate Director include:
Identifying the liquidation options and managing the liquidation/winddown process of both international Fund and SPV structures.
Coordinating the parties involved in the fund's liquidation.
Reviewing annual statutory financial statements in accordance with required GAAP (US, Lux etc) /liquidation accounts and liquidation reports.
Overseeing any quarterly reporting processes.
Working with tax advisors and applying tax advice as part of liquidation process.
Managing fund and SPV audits where required, addressing country specific issues.
Working with service providers on a day-to-day basis, including fund and local accountants, tax advisors, auditors, liquidator commissaire, banks and lawyers.
Working with Funds Management and Asset Management teams to support the liquidation process.
Organising board meetings and resolutions, etc.
THE PERSON skills and requirements for the Associate Director are:
Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 5 years of real estate fund accounting experience.
Prior experience of fund liquidations/winddowns will be advantageous.
Must have experience of UK and Lux fund structures.
Good understanding of corporate law in UK and knowledge in Lux corporate law would be an asset.
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
Strong knowledge of all types of taxes (direct and indirect), tax compliance and tax liquidations requirements.
Strong attention to detail.
Good team player and communicator with strong analytical skills.
Must be able to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables.
Project management skills overseeing the liquidation process.
