Biomedical Scientist

I am currently seeking a dedicatedBiomedical Scientistto join a Laboratory Diagnostics organisation based inLondon. As a vital member of our laboratory operations, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our histology department, delivering top-quality services in a timely manner.
You will be Responsible for:
From reception to dispatch, ensure specimens are processed, cut, stained, and handled with utmost precision and adherence to turnaround times.
Assist in workload management, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our work output.
Regular and accurate archiving of samples to ensure efficient retrieval when needed.
Participate in relevant training courses to stay updated with industry advancements and best practices.
Operate and maintain histology equipment in accordance with department policies.
Adhere strictly to Health and Safety regulations and maintain safe laboratory practices at all times.
Subject to competency and training, participate in specimen dissection.
Engage in annual staff appraisals and demonstrate commitment to personal and professional growth.
You will bring the following:
You must be HCPC registered BMS and member of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences in the UK.
Have a minimum 2 years of post-registration experience in a histology laboratory setting.
Have a strong understanding of histological techniques, familiarity with Health & Safety codes, laboratory IT systems, and accreditation processes.
