Join our client - a leading North-East based technology consultancy, as their first Chief Financial Officer during a pivotal moment of growth and transformation. In this key leadership role, you will shape our client's financial strategy and operations to support significant upcoming investments and a management buyout. This role offers you the unique opportunity to lead, innovate, and impact our client's financial future while fostering a values-driven, empowering culture.
About the Company: We're working with a well-established tech consultancy that's been helping businesses succeed with innovative tech solutions for over 30 years. They work with big names and essential players across various industries, helping them to stay ahead in a digital world.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Strategic Leadership: Create and manage financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals.
Financial Oversight: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure the company's financial health and future success.
Team Development: Mentor and lead the finance team, ensuring they have the skills and resources to perform at their best.
Risk Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities and develop strategies to manage them effectively.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with and provide strategic financial insights to stakeholders, enhancing investor relations and business decisions.
Why This Role?
Direct Impact: Your work will directly influence the company’s future, ensuring its success.
Team Environment: Work in an environment where everyone’s input is valued.
Competitive Package: Perks include a great salary and benefits, a car allowance, a great pension contribution, and participation in an equity scheme as part of the MBO.
The company operates a fully flexible model; there are no set hours, just the expectation that you will deliver what is needed for the company, which will be agreed upon at the outset. This means colleagues can be there for school runs and personal commitments and take the time to blend personal and work priorities. Ideally, this role will be based over 5 days for maximum visibility, but other working patterns are offered too!
As a key leader, you will need to be visible, but not 9-5 in an office. You'll ideally be based in the North East of England, so you can come into our office when needed.
