Cleaner

RMS Recruitment are currently looking for a Cleaner to join our client’s team based in Peterlee!

Our client is a renowned manufacturer and has a great opportunity available for a Factory Cleaning Operative to work within their Environmental Team on a full-time day basis. The working hours will be either 6AM – 1PM OR 7AM – 1PM Monday to Friday.

The role will be to provide efficient and effective janitorial support across the factory, covering all aspects environmental cleaning and recycling.

Reporting into the HSE Lead Advisor, main duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Responsible for maintaining and cleaning communal areas (canteen, toilets & offices across a main office area at one site and 2 offsite warehouses)
• Responsible for maintaining clean and clear walk ways 
• Waste Disposal in line with Health, Safety and Environmental standards
• Recycling including waste distribution to meet environmental targets and standards
• Cleaning offices areas, rest rooms and toilets within the scope of the role
• Maintaining welfare standards across 3 sites (4 hours at the main plant and 3 hours at an offsite warehouse per day)

Their ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of working in a janitorial or cleaning role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
