Through the years we have paved the way in the luxury dining scene, acquiring some of the most iconic venues in London and beyond, venues such as Bluebird Chelsea, 100 Wardour St, Quaglino's, 20 Stories, Orelle and South Place Hotel.A bit about what you will be doing:D&D is a UK leading Hospitality business with a collection of Restaurants, Bars and Hotel operating in the UK and Overseas. The company is fast moving, passionate about delivering high quality experiences in the hospitality industry and has an exciting opportunity for a part qualified accountant who has a commercial mindset and strong team ethic. The role is a blend of management accounts & business partnering making it an excellent role to grow & develop in. The successful candidate will be commercially minded and keen to business partner and drive the business. They should able to hold their own when communicating with general managers and chefs about their financial results.Key responsibilities:Working as part of Commercial Finance Team to support the businessCo-manage the commercial accounting function with responsibility for producing the monthly accounts including F&B/payroll/operating costs and restaurant profit conversion to Gross Profit/GOP/EBITDA.Preparation of draft and final management accounts for your group of restaurants each month.Lead monthly Financial Review Meetings with the GMs & chefs so that all key variances to budget & forecast are discussed and actions are recorded and followed up.Support the Head of Commercial Finance to proactively and reactively provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis that will help the management team to deliver optimal operational performance.Support the sales and marketing departments on sales analysis, forecasts and to estimate the financial impact of past & future promotions to establish their viability. Also provide analysis to give direction to the marketing team on areas that require focus.Provide robust commercial challenge to the senior management team at the sites so that revenue weakness and cost overruns are properly investigated and understood.Produce the weekly forecast for the group reporting on variances between actual, forecast and budgeted revenue, margin, payroll and operating costs.Prepare and review all individual budgets for the designated group of sites.Produce monthly financial summaries for the group ensuring that the results of the business are provided on an accurate and timely basis together with a concise, action orientated, business focused commentary.Get involved with recipe creation including the impact and improvement on GP margins, pricing strategies and promotional activity with each individual restaurant.Carry out balance sheet reconciliation for the designated sites.Run finance training for new GMs and other non-finance departments as requested.Liaise with the auditors and assist in the end of financial year audit for all UK sites.Ideally you will be:Part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA)Strong excel skills - XLOOKUP's, pivots, SUMIFS etc.Ambitious individual with a proven ability to adapt to new challengesStrong track record of success and achievement to date and good academic backgroundFinance and multi sites exposure within hospitality, FMCG, Retail or equivalent desired but not essential
