Thank you for your interest in working for the Oak Tree Animals’ Charity.Job Purpose: To assist with the development and delivery of the Charities pro-active Community service offering support, advice, education, and practical animal welfare solutions at the heart of the community.Hours of work: 40hrs per week including weekends and occasional anti-social hoursOak Tree Animals' Charity has an exciting new opportunity for an animal welfare professional. We are seeking a Community Officer to join our successful and proactive community team. The role is very much public-facing, developing and delivering our high-quality community support program. This includes, but is not limited to, the trap-neuter-release of feral cats, promoting various campaigns including participating in outreach and fundraising activities and in social media and educational publications. Reporting to the Community Team Leader, the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a sound evidence-based approach to animal welfare with hands-on practical experience. This post demands excellent interpersonal and team skills and an ability to engage compassionately and non-judgementally with members of the public. A minimum Level 3 qualification in Animal Management, Animal Welfare or Animal Behaviour is desirable. You will need to be physically fit, prepared to work anti-social hours and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
