We are looking for an experienced and committed occupational health consultant to develop and further enhance the Service provided to NHS staff and other organisations. This would be primarily from our facilities at the Health & Wellness centre, in Ashfield Street and our departments at Whipps Cross Hospital, Newham University Hospital and St Bartholomew's.
The postholder will have experience and a qualification in Occupational Medicine and hold Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM). Experience of developing and implementing policy is a great advantage, as would be experience of NHS Occupational Health.
Main duties of the job
This post will provide ten programmed activities with the principle objective of promoting and improving the health, safety and wellbeing of employees in the workplace to the highest degree. As a team We work closely with the Public Health team and are looking for the expert clinical leadership in service .
There is an opportunity to develop an outstanding Wellbeing programme across the Trust and external business We are growing our business and along with this the clinical team so it is an exciting time to join. We are also looking to undertake research projects on health in health care workers.

Job responsibilities
The employee well being service, supports Barts Health staff in their time of need, with a multitude of problems which may or may not relate to work and/or the environment. There is a team of clinical and administrative staff, in Employee Well-being services, who make it their business to support our staff recover and get better so they can contribute to patient care effectively and safely
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice and entry on the Specialist Register as an Occupational Medicine Specialist or within 6 months of CTT
Membership of the faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM)
Understanding of the principles and applications of clinical research
Evidence of understanding of the role of clinical management
Evidence of understanding of and adherence to the principles of 'Good Medical Practice' set out by the general medical council
Evidence of contribution to effective clinical audit and risk management
Desirable
Fellowship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FFOM)
Management training or qualification
Other higher medical degree
Evidence of original research

Comprehensive clinical experience in Occupational Medicine
Evidence of leadership in the development of clinical services
Experience in clinical guideline development

Experience in setting up 'hub and spoke' services

Expert in Occupational medicine and evidence based practice.
Previous NHS Occupational Medicine experience
