Consultant Psychotherapist and Lead for Psychotherapy This is an exciting opportunity to join Psychological and Mental Health Services (PAMHS) at Great Ormond Street Hospital. PAMHS is a large, multidiscipinary service providing both paediatric psychology services to GOSH and specialist CAMHS services nationally. The successful postholder will join the team on a permanent contract as a ConsultantPsychotherapist and lead for Psychotherapy within the Trust. The post holder will provide the strategic and clinical oversight of psychotherapy, managing a small team of Psychotherapists within the Trust. Clinical input will be into the Mildred Creak Unit, where the postholder will be a member of the senior management team. and will lead Pain andrehabilitation Services (0.6 sessions) - approximately 4 WTE staff members. The postholder will work closely with other Consultant leads across PAMHS to lead the effective provision of services.For discussion, please contact Dr Helen Griffiths, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Head of Psychological Services: ##### and/or Dr Sacha Evans, ConsultantChild and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Mildred Creak Unit Lead: ##### duties of the jobTo provide, on behalf of the Head of Psychological Services, strategic thinking, planning and coordination of an efficient, effective, comprehensive and highly specialist child and adolescent psychotherapy assessment and treatment service, working collaboratively within a highly specialist clinical in-patient service (MCU) for children and adolescents with severe, highly complex and persistent mental health problems, their carers/parents and families, including second opinions on diagnosis/formulation.To promote an understanding of child and adolescent psychotherapy and therapeutic psychoanalytic thinking within the multidisciplinary team of MCU and other specialist teams within PAMHS and across GOSH.To provide a Child and Adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapy consultation resource for teams, within the time available.
