Contract Accountant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a well-established business based in Worksop as they look to add a Contract Accountant to their finance function!The Contract Accountant will manage a portfolio of contracts for the business. Lead the forecasting & reporting for those contract, working in conjunction with the operational management & complete the monthly management accounts.Duties & Responsibilities of the Contract Accountant will include: Follow the set processes and procedures to produce the management accounts in a timely manner for a number of key contractsApply Financial Standards where appropriate, ensure relevant balance sheet accounts are well maintained and properly controlledManaging relationships with Business Partners and Operational ManagersControl all inputs to be able to produce accurate and detailed contract P+L’s in standard formatWork closely with the Operational Managers to drive the monthly forecasting process for their contract, maintaining transparency and accuracy of information to ensure clear view of underlying profitabilityProduce timely and accurate management reporting to support the Operational Managers and Business Partners Manage Ad Hoc requests for analysis from the business and Regional Finance to support them with their decision makingEnsure the necessary contract controls are in place to provide accurate accounting for the contractWork to drive efficiencies and Profit Improvement PlansTravel, when required, to client sites to work with the Operational ManagersSupporting collation of business risks & opportunities at a business unit levelEnsure contracts with lifecycle obligations are appropriately reported/accounted forKey Skills & Experience required: Working towards a recognised accounting qualificationAbility to work with non-finance operational staffHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressureDrive and enthusiasm to succeed as part of a team and deliver outstanding results.An ability to motivate others to be successful.Highly conscientious and self-motivated with a flexible approach to demands of the roleExcellent communicator with strong written and presentation skillsStrong ethical and professional valuesFor more information on this fantastic role and how to apply, please get in touch today Job Info
