The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.Serves as Cove's Corporate Compliance Officer.Develops and implements Cove's Corporate Compliance Program including plan, trainings, risk assessments, auditing/monitoring, and reporting processes.Provides education to Cove's teammates at hire and annually on Corporate Compliance program.Conducts routine assessments/audits of Cove's compliance to billing requirements, contract requirements, documentation requirements including 65D-30/CARF/contract manuals as well as compliance to contract for subcontractors. Identifies and addresses any weaknesses or non-compliance issues identified during the auditsInitiates investigations on allegations or complaints of illegal, fraudulent, or unethical conduct within Cove.Conducts Corporate Compliance risk assessment annually.Submits annual report to VP of Operations, CEO, and Board of Trustees which includes summary of monitoring/assessments of compliance, trainings conducted, allegations, investigations, complaints for the past 12 months, explanation of corrective actions taken, and recommendations to changes to the Corporate Compliance program. Acts as key contact and subject matter expert on applicable regulations and regulatory guidance, best industry practices, and internal processes/protocols.
Drafts, evaluates, negotiates, and executes contracts including formal contracts, sub-contracts, consulting agreements, QSOA/BAA, contract employees, etc. Serves as the Point of Contact for funders, payers, organizations, and customers on contractual matters. Acts as contractual "middleman" between Cove teammates and funders/payers/ organizations/customers ensuring timely review and approval/reconciliation of variations.Provides feedback and recommendations on contracts to the CEO and Executive Management and assists in negotiating changes to the contracts.Creates contract review process to ensure individuals needing to review and approve contracts are part of the feedback loop.Ensures signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility, awareness, interpretation, and to support implementation.Maintains contractual records and documentation including contract correspondence, contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports, and other contract documents.Provides guidance on contract matters to Cove teammates including training on new contract requirements.Develops and implements procedures for, compliance, contract management and administration in compliance with Cove policy.Monitors compliance to contract requirements and address any areas out of compliance with the appropriate individuals. Develops and maintains a tracking/reminder system for contract deliverables.Completes annual DCF, AHCA, Pharmacy, DEA, etc. licensing applications for the company as well as the CARF accreditation.Coordinates onsite contract monitoring and licensing audits by all funders, payers, and organizations.Coordinates contract implementation meetings for new contracts or major changes to contracts.Ensures dissemination of annual financial audit to the appropriate parties as required by contracts.Understands 65D-30 (licensing requirements) and 65E-14 (financial requirements) and the impact on the contracts and funding.Coordinates with the insurance broker on adding funders as additional insured on the certificate of insurance when required by the contracts.Manage staffing, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance for QI Director, Data Analyst, and SOR Admin SpecialistPerforms other related duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises teammates in the quality improvement department,data analyst, and SOR Admin Specialist. Carriesout supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies andany applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, andtraining new teammates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraisingperformance; rewarding and disciplining teammates; addressing complaints andresolving problems. Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such asproportions, ratios, and percentages to practical situations. Ability to apply principles of logical orscientific thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to define problems, collect data,establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and deal with severalabstract and concrete variables. Knowledge of clinical and financial applications including planning,design, implementation, and maintenance. Ability to work with Microsoft products including Excel, Word, andOutlook.
