Job Description
A leading corporate banking and capital markets organisation is seeking a Corporate Procurement Specialist to join their team in London.
Main purpose of the role
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring the economic and efficient sourcing of products and services across all categories.
Key activities
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Specialist to ensure a secure supply to internal customers in the relevant region (London) applying expertise to conclude supplier agreements
Creating lasting and comprehensible value add for Commerzbank in the region within the scope of the objectives of Corporate Procurement and establishing Corporate Procurement as an excellent partner for internal customers
Orientation to the strategic objectives of the bank/stakeholders, internal bank guidelines and regulations, and on defined standards
Responsible for all categories of sourcing for procurement projects with medium purchasing volume and medium complexity and risk potential
Assisting in the development of product group strategies, pricing models and negotiation tactics
Negotiation and managing local contracts and supporting local customers in getting the right products, goods and services to fulfil their business needs. All this in cooperation with CP HQs function and the GS-OS nearshoring location
Key responsibilities
Sufficient experience in Purchasing (preferred), Sales, Organisation, IT, Accountancy, or Logistics
Understanding of sourcing techniques, underlying procure-to-pay processes and sourcing and procurement systems and tools
Basic negotiation skills
Basic legal knowledge in contract law
Good knowledge of project management
Good commercial knowledge
Degree/MCIPS/Equivalent
