Permanent Job Alert: Title: Data Steward Location: London (Hybrid) Salary: £50,000 + Benefits Industry: FinTech Contact: ##### Brief Overview: The EMEA Enterprise Data Management Central Data Steward reports directly to the EMEA Technology Solution Architecture Director and holds responsibility for overseeing the Master Data Management platform. Key focus areas include operational management, exception handling, and roadmap development for reference data enhancement. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the companies Enterprise Reference Data framework, collaborating closely with Data Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Finance, HR, and Operations throughout the region. JOB Requirements: 4-5 years of experience in a role emphasizing project management, coordination, or similar areas. Experience in positions requiring coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders. Exposure to data management and governance is helpful but not obligatory. Previous involvement in supporting large-scale projects or transformation initiatives. Experience within a multinational or European business setting is advantageous. Demonstrated track record of achieving results in resource-limited environments. Experience in roles demanding a high level of initiative and responsibility.
Qualifications & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Communication, or a related discipline. Additional certifications in project management or leadership (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are beneficial. Courses or certifications in soft skills development, such as communication or leadership. Extra certifications in data management or associated fields are advantageous. Familiarity with data protection regulations (such as GDPR) is advantageous. Dedication to continuous professional development in business and management.
JOB Responsibilities: Lead the product ownership role for the MDM (Master Data Management) tool, with a focus on managing enterprise reference data. Ensure operational efficiency of the MDM system by conducting regular monitoring. Drive adoption and expansion of system usage across the organization. Take charge of the European Operational Data Board, including preparation of materials, stakeholder liaison, and documentation of decisions. Collaborate with in-country Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and data stewards to develop and implement data quality work packages. Address MDM tool issues with innovative solutions. Establish yourself as the primary enterprise data Subject Matter Expert (SME). Advocate for data management best practices and continuous improvement. Coordinate with various departments to integrate and streamline data processes. Contribute actively to critical business functions in the European market. Support major transformation initiatives, maximizing impact with minimal resources. Navigate the business environment effectively to achieve objectives, leveraging strong interpersonal skills.
