Detail Designer - Piping

Job Title: Detail Designer - PipingLocation:Strathclyde, Glasgow City, GlasgowJob Type:Contract, expected to work Full-Time hoursPrimary Industry:Engineering/ MarineJob Duties:1. Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for piping systems2. Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements3. Conduct site visits to gather information for design development4. Review and interpret technical drawings and documents5. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulationsRequired Qualifications:- Proven experience as a detail designer in piping- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools- Strong knowledge of piping systems and materials- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsEducation:- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience:- Minimum of 3 years of experience in piping designKnowledge and Skills:- Understanding of engineering principles and practises- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Knowledge of military and defence industry standards (preferred)Preferred Qualifications:- Professional certification in piping design- Experience in the military and defence industryWorking Conditions:- Office-based work with occasional site visits- Full-time hours with the possibility of overtime during project deadlines- Adherence to health and safety regulations
