Provide specialist advice and services through an elite team of specialistsColleagues have a diverse range of political, media and policy backgroundsAbout Our ClientMy client provides specialist advice and services through an elite team with a diverse range of political, media and policy backgrounds.They also work very closely with their sister agencies who elevate their offer, bringing clients communications a new level of authority and impact.They are looking for a Director - Public Affairs to join their team.Job DescriptionThe Director - Public Affairs will need:LeadershipProvide leadership to the business, including on company strategy, recruitment, staff management and new business developmentClient and account managementProvide senior counsel and strategic advice on client accounts, including regular client contact and directing and contributing to the work of account teamsDeliver expert advice in person to senior people across a range of industriesDirect, commission and where appropriate conduct research and analysis on political and policy issues relevant to clientsSkills and ExpertiseDemonstrate a strong understanding of the political, business and media environment in general, with provable expertise in one or more areas relevant to clientsPresent to clients and external audiences and develop an external profileWrite to a high standard for external publication, including reports, press releases, op-eds and blog postsMaintain and grow an active network of business, political and/or media contactsNew businessContribute to the commercial future of the business, including helping to retain and grow existing clients and bring in new leadsLead on new business activities including networking and pursuing leads and leading pitch processes and pitchesProvide direction to marketing activitiesTeam managementSupport members of the team at all levels, including through leading by example and providing coaching and support across account teamsThe role is based in London.The Successful ApplicantYou will have extensive experience of working in a comms/public affairs agency in the UKWhat's on OfferGenerous benefits, excellent work life balance and great colleagues.We will let you know when any new
