We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Design Engineer to join an expanding Engineering team, working as part of the team consisting of engineers and scientists to drive the development of existing and next generation products. Key contribution to the product success is an accurate and stable electronic architecture.
As a note, the type of person we'd be looking for would be somebody with a mix of analog and digital design, with elements such as Piezo, Sensors and high speed interfacing as desirables. Experience around troubleshooting and optimising products is valuable too.
The role requires working with strong problem-solving skills to develop complex instrumentation consisting of a diverse range of technologies, including communications, networking, optics, electro-mechanics, control algorithms, motion control systems, precision mechanics, embedded software and vacuum systems. It will include analogue and mixed-signal circuit design, guiding layout design, prototyping and prototype testing, and test jig development within a small multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform development activities to innovate new electronic solutions, create new features and improve performance of existing and new products.
Personal Qualities:
Self-management: Able to work independently, setting priorities for own work based upon the company goals and targets.
Education / Qualifications:
Either a BSc/BEng in Electronic Engineering or similar, or a clear growth path through engineering apprenticeship and design positions.
