Engineering Director Position at Canonical
Responsibilities:
Define the strategy of the Sustaining Engineering group
Act as an escalation point for key customers and internal escalations
Be an advocate for your group and shape the overall Support strategy
Hire, organize, grow, nurture, and lead a diverse set of technical contributors
Be involved in contracts, customers, and executives discussions
Location: This is a home-based role that can be filled in any timezone.
Requirements:
Articulate communicator with a passion for open-source
Solid understanding of Ubuntu, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, and more
Experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring software developers
Outstanding Linux-based software engineering track record
