Environmental Advisor/Senior Advisor

Gavia Environmental are currently seeking applicants for the role of Senior Environmental Advisor (ECoW).
The core duties of the Senior Environmental Advisor post are:
monitoring and advising on pollution prevention measures.
Preparation and delivery of toolbox talks to the client's site team and sub-contractors.
mentoring and training of junior team members.
assisting the team lead and ecology director in scoping, tendering and management of projects.
a Higher Education Certificate or relevant degree in an environmental subject area.
two to five years' experience in an Ecological Clerk of Works or Environmental Advisor role on a variety of project types.
a comprehensive understanding of SEPA's CAR regulations, relevant guidance and environmental legislation applicable to the role of an Environmental Advisor.
competence in a variety of ecological survey techniques and mitigation designs for protected species.
knowledge and practical experience of peat and surface water management on construction sites.
a full and valid driving licence
a valid CSCS card.
good IT proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite.
For a small SME, Gavia is able to offer an attractive salary in the range of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (based on a 40 hour week) along with additional benefits. We may consider a higher salary for an exceptional candidate with a strong client portfolio.
