Up to £40,200 per annum dependent on experience

A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Facilities Officer to join our client's dynamic team based in Thornbury. Our client's organisation is a leading government agency that works towards promoting the welfare and betterment of the community. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the management and maintenance of our Council property and facilities in accordance with best practice standards. The role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor Council property and facilities to ensure that they are maintained to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement best practice policies and procedures for the management and maintenance of all Council facilities.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify any potential hazards and implement necessary measures to address them.
- Oversee all building works and contractors to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and monitor contracts for maintenance, cleaning, and other related services to ensure that they are delivering high-quality services in accordance with the contracted terms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement strategies for the efficient use of resources and facilities.
- Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required on the status and maintenance of Council facilities.
- Stay up to date with all relevant legislation and regulations related to facilities management and ensure compliance at all times.
