The role will support the North and North West & Yorkshire EWR and Transport Groups.The role will be accountable for providing professional financial and commercial support to the EWR and Transport Groups, partnering with the Group, Commercial and Project leadership teams and other business support teams to deliver robust financial performance and drive areas of targeted improvement.You will support the group and project leadership teams across all aspects of financial performance, acting as a trusted advisor to provide high quality and timely financial advice, actionable insight and reporting and you will lead on the business planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles. You will also be a member of the Finance Community, working collaboratively with fellow Finance Business Partners and other teams across finance to ensure best practice and delivering expertise in a cross-section of financial activities.This role is key to ensuring that commercial and financial targets are agreed, they are understood and monitored against, and that appropriate strategies are in place to deliver against them.As a Finance Business partner we will collectively analyse financial performance by utilizing both historical insights and future projections to make strategic decisions. In addition to traditional finance tasks, you will have the opportunity to shape ambitious yet realistic business plans, contribute to the evaluation of project viability during bid reviews, and play a crucial role in the overall success of our global finance team.As a Finance Business Partner, you will guide and mentor our Finance Operations team, fostering their growth and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.
