Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Build Clerk of Works to oversee a modular building project located in Skegness. As the Clerk of Works, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of the project by maintaining quality standards, monitoring construction progress, and conducting inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the modular construction site to ensure compliance with building regulations, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document and report any deviations from plans, specifications, or regulations to the project manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor the construction progress and provide regular updates to the project team.
- Verify that materials and workmanship meet the required standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Provide guidance and support to the project team on technical matters related to construction and building regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, observations, and any corrective actions taken.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Clerk of Works or similar role in construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations from plans and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in conducting site inspections and preparing detailed reports.
- Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
