We are looking for Multi Modal Freight Forwarding Clerk, based at our South West office. South Brent, Devon.

A fast paced and busy office supported by our head office in Manchester, you will be dealing with all aspects of International Multi Modal Freight Forwarding movements, both Import and Export.

As Freight Operations you will be the first point of contact for a portfolio of customers within the air and sea freight market. You will work to grow import and export activity, and support/develop current and new Domestic and International clients. Drive to develop and grow the business, Identify and maximise opportunities to increase both turnover and profit.  

Freight Forwarder Responsibilities include

• Managing Sea freight /air freight and road freight bookings, processing with customers and suppliers.


• Obtaining and processing pricing enquiries for all forms of transport.


• Operating internal operations system, online bookings and sales platforms, customs documentation.  


• Managing sales and cost reconciliation on a shipment-by-shipment basis.


• Raising accurate operational documents such as AWBs, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin and EUR1z with great attention to detail.

Freight Forwarder Skills and Requirements:

• Sea and Air operations an advantage.


• Import or export experience.


• Customs procedures, processing and documentation,


• Good telephone manner/Team player/Fast learner/Able to work in a small team


• The ability to prioritise, organise and manage time efficiently is essential within a busy operations team.


• Attention to detail is essential for the production of shipping documents


• Use of MultiFreight & MultiShed is desirable, however, full training will be provided

Regarding salary: £29,000 plus ,  depending on Experience + pension + holiday
