A strong working knowledge on cocktails is essential with an understanding of late nights and live music.You must be a strong leader and a management entrepreneur who has great ambition to progress and create a fun and safe atmosphere.Job DescriptionAs a General Manager you will be responsible for:Training & developing staff at all levelsCocktail creations & costingsBe able to manage the busy barProfit & loss accountableBe commercially mindedInventory controlPlanning, organising and coming up with creative working ideasPassionate about customer serviceBe very guest focused Strong man management skillsBe able to think on their feet and come up with conclusive ideasIdentifying problems and reacting to resolve the issuesBe able to deal with costs in line with salesKeeping up to date with licensing legislation, liaising with the authorities and taking overall legal responsibility for the premisesThe Ideal candidate will be:Experienced in a similar high end cocktail bar in a restaurant or hotel at Head Barman/Assistant Bar Manager or above levelMust have high end cocktail experienceBe able to work with teams of over 20+ staffMust have some profit & loss understandingUnderstanding of eventsMust have worked with live DJ's & musicians Must have experience in stock taking & inventoriesBe able to work in a high demanding environmentUsed to high volumeAble to instruct clear instructions to the senior management team and staff membersGood understanding about cocktails & creations Must be flexible in working late night hoursDealing with DirectorsLicence holderUsed to being in a customer service backgroundBe proactive and being able to think on their feetUsed to dealing with different types of clientele with customer service being the top priority
