Location: regional England, UK - to be disclosed (mostly WFH)Posted 1 year agoEssential experience: Finance Change/Transformation leadership in FS (Insurance adv.)Location: regional England, UK – to be disclosed (mostly WFH)Pear Talent is representing a FTSE100 Insurance business who not so long ago successfully completed a significant acquisition and are going through the complex integration of this business and associated transformation. They have a newly created opportunity in their Finance Leadership Team for a Head of Finance Change & Transformation who’ll report to the CFO.This person will own all Finance change and transformation projects business-wide, leading the development of the target operating model for Finance and setting the strategic direction for Finance change in the years to come. Additionally, this person will grow and further develop the existing internal change team enhancing its capabilities and reducing the use of external resources.You’ll lead a Finance change portfolio working in collaboration with other functions to ensure the organisation meets its regulatory and financial reporting commitments including; defining the operating model, driving efficiencies, leading delivery of solutions, and drive embedding of new changes into “business as usual” whilst managing multiple change initiatives.Key accountabilities:Take ownership of all Finance change projects businesses-wide, leading the full project life-cycle through to final delivery, including management of budgets and benefit tracking.Lead the development of the target operating model for Finance, working closely with business Leadership Teams and Exec.Manage, develop and mentor the existing Finance Change team whilst also recruiting additional resources to improve change capabilities and reduce reliance on external change and transformation consultancies and third parties.Develop the Company’s strategic direction for change and transformation in partnership with the business leadership and project stakeholders.Interact with key stakeholders ensuring expectations are managed effectively and user participation is sought where required.Facilitate the resolution of project issues across stakeholder groups. This will include being able to understand the issue under consideration at a conceptual and business context level.Required experience:Qualified accountant with extensive (10+ years PQE) experience in business as usual Finance and Change/Transformation within Financial Services (ideally Insurance)Change delivery experience – from business case, to requirements, to design, build, user testing and embedding of significant change initiatives across Finance, acting as a business leader (but not project manager)Knowledge, understanding and experience of structured project/programme change and transformation delivery methodologies and approaches.Experience of the leading complex financial reporting deliverables, including managing external auditor and regulator expectations.Previous experience managing teams of at least x10 peopleExperience of driving the implementation of new finance systems and improvements to business processes at a large scale.Well organised and self-motivated and able to encourage same in others.Demonstrable problem solving and critical thinking skills.Able to analyse disparate or conflicting information to organise, prioritise, plan and clearly communicate outcomes and rationales.Excellent communication skills with a positive, energetic and approachable manner.Understanding of UK insurance products and financial reportingStrong MS Office suite skills, including MS Project and VisioIf this isn’t for you but you know someone who’d be interested, then why not confidentially recommend them by clicking here We have a fantastic referral scheme up to £1,000*.
