HGV2 Driver

Our client who are based in Reading are currently recruiting for an HGV2 Driver to join their organisation on a permanent basis.

This role is Monday to Friday, no weekend work is required. Competitive salary is on offer dependant on experience.

As the HGV2 Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Collecting & delivering machines as directed by the Transport Manager, who schedules runs on a weekly & /daily basis.
• Ensuring straps and loading gear are used effectively and machines are delivered & collected intact.
• You will be required to be able to help load & /unload your vehicles, with the aid of lifting gear, and assisted by forklift truck operators/warehouse assistants.
• Checking off goods.
• You will be covering London and the South of England but will be required to cover for North run driver holidays,
• On the rare occasions, where not required on the road, drivers are required to help in the warehouse.
• Drivers are responsible for adhering to driving regulations.

Qualifications & skills required:

• HGV 2 level - required.
• Manual Handling - required.
• Health & Safety - required.
• Knowledge of UK map - advantageous
• Loading/Unloading Experience - required.
• Working knowledge of driver legislation
• Full clean driving licence
• A great work ethic is essential for this role with a flexible attitude.
