Our client is a global innovative law firm recognised for their large and impressive intellectual property practice currently recruiting a commercially aware & flexible HR Advisor to join their growing team in their London offices on a 12 month FTC basis.The main responsibilities for HR Advisor will be to provide Business Services groups with a high quality, responsive and proactive HR Service while being the first point of contact for the Heads of department within the relevant offices and departments.KEY DUTIES INCLUDE: Working closely with the Talent Acquisition team on any recruitment needs within the Business Services teamsAssisting Business Services functions with resource planning challenging where appropriate and necessary.Work with the Office Managers and HR Assistant to ensure the induction process remains relevantProviding advice to line managers in the overall performance management process and provide appropriate coaching to ensure that a fair and consistent approach is adopted.Liaising with the L&D department on training and development needs to ensure appropriate coaching and training are implemented.Providing advice and guidance on employee relation matters and employment law.Management of sickness and maternity, paternity and shared parental leave for employees.Maintaining a sound knowledge of the firm’s financial and non-financial reward systems and benefits packages and the Towers Watson benchmarking methodologyWorking with the HR Assistant to ensure effective administration for all HR services while managing the data in the HR system to ensure it is accurate and up to date.Have a sound understanding of HR law in particular that relating to contracts, terms and conditions, discrimination, maternity/paternity/shared parental leave, fair dismissal and grievances. To take responsibility for updating personal knowledge relating to new Employment law.Contribute to HR team projects.The HR Advisor will have previous experience within an HR team within a professional services environment acting as a trusted advisor. It is essential to possess thorough knowledge and awareness of latest developments in employment law along with demonstratable experience of undertaking a variety of administrative tasks and good knowledge of HR databases. The right candidate will have professional and confident drafting skills and extensive knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel and possess excellent communication skills dealing with people at all levels. Any experience in using a document management system and a CIPD qualification is desirable. desirable.
