In-house Patent Attorney

Our client is a long established and globally recognised brand at the forefront of invention and innovation.
With expansion plans in motion and opportunities within both their central London and South Coast offices, they require an additional Patent Attorney, ideally qualified, with either a mechanical/electronics or chem/bio background.
This newly created Patent Attorney opportunity is rare from both an in-house perspective and because of the scope and variety of work on offer.
This should not be overlooked if you are working in private practice and are drawn to a career in-house or you already hold an in-house role and are keen on a fresh challenge within an international FMCG business.
Welcomed into the collaborative team, you will play a leading and integral part undertaking responsibilities such as invention mining/harvesting, drafting and counsel on potential risks posed by third party patents in relation to pipeline products.
You'll thrive on collaborating with colleagues across all key functions of the business, including marketing and R&D, providing focused advice that drives the best commercial outcomes.
It's imperative that your interpersonal skills are excellent, and your ability to engage and communicate what may often be complex matters in a clear and coherent manner is paramount.
