Interim Overview: As the Senior Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of large scale (1-2M sq ft) warehouse operations. This will require inspirational leadership of large teams, complex consolidation, warehouse processes, and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspirational Leadership of large teams to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for large scale warehouse implementation.
Lead cross-functional teams to identify requirements, develop implementation plans, and execute projects on time and within budget.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including client, IT, operations, logistics, and finance, to align implementation efforts with business objectives.
Oversee the selection and deployment of warehouse management systems (WMS), automation technologies, and other tools to optimize warehouse operations.
Define KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of implementation initiatives, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Proven all-rounder in 3PL with experience in large scale warehouse management. Able to engage senior stakeholders. Change Management experience and a track record in consolidation of existing contracts. European experience. Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from inception to completion. Deep understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution processes. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-driven mindset and a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
