The Company
A global market-leading media and research company operating across shipping, oil and gas, aquaculture/fisheries and the renewable energy industries. They have over 500 employees globally across 30 offices and this position is based in their London office. They have a grown-up, creative, fast paced and client-centric approach to business. They are growing quickly and have a strong focus on training and development.
The role of International Account Manager
As International Account Manager the purpose of your role will be to sell advertising across a weekly global newspaper, its respective website and mobile App (display, branded content, video etc) as well as conference sponsorship. You will have ownership of the UK market and as such will be selling to oil and gas operators and suppliers as well as other types of companies who provide solutions within the oil and gas space (like tech companies for example).
50% of the role will be new business v repeat revenue and you will earn 10% commission on all new business and 5% on all repeat revenue.
The company has a supportive and mature sales culture where you will be given a lot of freedom to take ownership of your client base and sell all manner of commercial solution. You will be selling face to face and over the phone.
Requirements for the International Account Manager role
3-8 years multiplatform advertising sales experience (digital advertising experience is a must)
Event sponsorship sales experience (must have) - ideally conference sponsorship
Consultative, self-motivated, driven and mature
High level of articulation and confidence
Stable career history
