That means we’re helping to improve our customers’ lives, and contributing to the success of the business every day.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Junior Security Analyst to join our team in London!You'll be supporting the management of Security Operations, Security Incidents and Infrastructure Security for Legal & General. Using the latest threat intelligence to inform daily activities and proactive threat hunts to detect and respond to threat actors, you'll also work alongside other security analysts and security professionals with the aim of making L&G a harder cyber target.This is the ideal role for a Junior Security Analyst looking for their next career move - or perhaps you have a passion for cyber security and are looking for your first role into this industry? Please read on for more information!QualificationsWhat you'll be doingAssisting with the response to security incidents occurring within L&G on a 24x7 basisWorking in conjunction with the rest of the SOC team to provide L1 and L2 monitoring across Legal & General (e.g., collating security events gathered across sources, triaging events and managing security events as required to help ensure these are responded to in a timely and effective manner).Aiding in the design and implementation of use cases used across L&G tools, providing ongoing tuning and detection enhancement inline with trends observed to ensure continuous improvement.Assisting in the level 3 response for various security events and incidents such as intrusion, malware infections, network breaches and denial of service attacks to help ensure these are managed in a timely and effective mannerAssisting in any required management information creation and collation such as dashboards for Managers and application owners to help ensure that risk events and changes in trends are easily detected and reported onAdditional InformationWhat we're looking forAn awareness of tools used in detection and response such as XDR/EDR, Network Monitoring, SIEM It would be useful if you have some understanding of threat intelligence and how it can be used within Security Operations to build mature detection and responseAn awareness of new and emerging threats with an ability to build in detection capability around this knowledgeStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to exercise mature judgementAny certifications in infrastructure, networking or malware analysis would be beneficialIf you have a passion for cyber security but don't have the commercial experience yet then we would still be interested in hearing from you!The brand with the brolly is choosing today to change tomorrow.Since 1836, we’ve grown to become one of the world's largest asset managers, homebuilders, pension providers and insurance brands.We’re all here to improve the lives of our customers, build a better society for the long term, and create value for our shareholders - helping to shape a better future for society and the planet.We need people who share our ambitions, agility and entrepreneurial spirit to help us do it.At L&G, you’ll find a balance that helps you be your best.
