You will have up to date knowledge of employment legislation, supporting the team on work including:
Casework linked to all aspects of the employee life cycle (for example recruitment, capability, disciplinary, grievance, Dignity at Work, redundancy, retirement)
Supporting organisational change across the Council and with partner organisations
Providing advice on the Council’s policy framework, maternity, paternity, and other types of absence
Providing accurate management information and data analysis to inform workforce planning
Planning and delivery of learning events on a range of HR topics

We embrace flexibility in work locations whilst fostering collaboration in-person. While we value the autonomy to work remotely, we also recognise the importance of face-to-face interactions for innovation and teamwork. With this in mind, we encourage a balance by expecting colleagues to spend at least three days a week in the office, ensuring opportunities for connection, growth, and shared success.
