Management accountant

About Our Client The client is a well established property and construction business based in Cumbria. After a period of growth, they are looking to improve on what they have build and drive efficiencies to build on this further. They have a small finance team in post currently and are looking for someone to come and take a lead on the operational finance function.
Job DescriptionMonthly preparation of consolidated accountsPreparation of year-end financial statements for each group companyManagement and leadership of the audit processCompany Secretarial duties for all group companiesEnsuring compliance with VAT and CIS schemes, submitting returns as necessaryLiaison with HMRC, external auditors, joint venture partners and other third parties as required regarding statutory compliance matters.Lead the delivery of key deadlines across the department with focus on accuracy and timely outputsEnsure that outputs and work standards meet the expectations of all stakeholdersIdentifying opportunities to continually improve the information provided to the wider business The Successful Applicant The successful candidate will be Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience. You will be able to pick up a management accounting role and be fairly autonomous. You will be a part of a small team and be taking a lead on the operational side of finance. You will also be provided with the opportunity to drive process improvements and translate findings to non-finance personnel.This is a great opportunity for someone with management accounts experience, who is looking to make an impact and help drive a business forwards.
