Job DescriptionOur client is one of Scotland’s leading food manufacturing brands. The food industry is very fast paced, demanding, and constantly developing, therefore the people the company looks to join them have a great personality and the drive to exceed the customers’ expectations.A new vacancy has arisen to join the companies busy Finance team, the role available is Management Accountant and is situated in Stonehaven Area – a more specific location is available on the application. The purpose of this post is to prepare, develop and analyse management accounting information and to support the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with any other requirements.The Role: Maintenance & development of additional reports which aid managers’ understanding of the relationship / consequence of expenditure and business performance.Assist with collating the annual budget, partnering budget holders & line managers to ensure all the relevant information is provided.Support the routine forecasting cycle, ensure all information is up to date and available to allow the forecast model with P&L, CF and BS to be completed.Improve the accuracy of budget in some operational areas.Prepare & review management information reports for each reporting unit on a monthly basis. Important to focus on both the financial and non-financial data and ensuring it is accurate. Work with budget holders to investigate and understand any unexpected variances.Assist with the month end process, reviewing MI reports and working with the finance team to ensure all the revenue & costs are captured correctly, stock records are accurate, and all allocations are posted. This role will involve journal entries, reconciliations etc. so someone with experience of month end processes is preferable.Assist with financial modelling for investment decisions.Update and maintain the weekly cashflow report.Engage and provide information to the Finance team on peak times, such as year-end audit pack.What’s on offer?The opportunity to take on a role that is highly visible in a market leading company.Current starting salary is £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.Pension.Company Bonus Scheme.If you would like to be considered for this excellent opportunity, then please get in touch with me ASAP.
