Job Title: Offline programmer

Salary: �40000 to �45000

Hours: Mon-Thurs 7.00am-4.00pm OR 8.00am-5.00pm and Fri 7.00am-12.00pm

Location: Sandiacre

Overview:

Working within first class manufacturing facilities we now require a CAD CAM Engineer to join the team.

You will be working as part of a busy design team, producing programmes for the companies 3 and 5 axis milling machinery.

Key responsibilities of the CAD CAM Engineer role:

• Produce 3 and 5 axis CNC programs and set up CNC Milling machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures
• To create programmes for the 3 and 5 axis milling machinery - all software packages considered (Training can be given for NX Unigraphics)
• To provide technical support on projects and new programmes
• Carry out the measurement and inspection of components
• Manufacture Jigs and Fixtures to enable development of first time run/components
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement initiatives by improving efficiency wherever possible

The ideal candidate / CAD CAM Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Previous experience in producing programs for milling machinery
• Previous experience in Heidenhain conversational programming
• Must have a keen eye for detail
• Must have the capability and experience to adopt a hands-on approach with both machine and team interaction
• Capable of converting drawings/models into development and production running parts
