Job DescriptionOperations DirectorLocation: Stockport Full time: PermanentSalary: £75,000 to £80,000 DOE + 6.5% Employer Pension ContributionHybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 working from homeWe're in search of a dynamic Operations Director adept at leading diverse service delivery. You'll thrive as a forward-thinking leader in an environment that values openness and team challenge. This role involves leading, coaching, and managing teams, challenging norms, and fostering change. A strong community focus is essential, along with a commitment to doing what's right, not just what's convenient.You'll ensure top-notch operational services in a safety-first organisation, with full financial responsibility and a focus on continuous improvement. Additionally, you'll support the Senior Management Team in aligning business vision and objectives, fostering an open culture within the team.The Role:Support accredited standards and compliance with statutory provisions.Oversee P&L for operational services.Manage budgets, identify efficiency savings, and drive continuous improvement.Advocate for improvements in Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality.Drive operational performance, productivity, and service levels.Develop service strategies and contribute to corporate strategies.Lead change initiatives and support customers through change programmes.Provide advice and support for service development and partnership arrangements.Contribute to overall risk management and ensure compliance with regulations.Manage HR functions including recruitment, development, and performance management.Who are we looking for?Demonstrated expertise as an Operations Director or in a relevant leadership role, including leading, coaching, and managing a diverse array of operational services to achieve measurable KPIs.Proven history of strategic planning, continuous improvement, and achieving operational excellence and efficiencies.Proficient in data analysis and its impact on operational performance, utilising insights to identify trends and develop action plans for maximising value.Experience with full P&L budgetary responsibilities.Comprehensive understanding and appreciation of various business functions such as SHEQ, Finance, Projects & Change, Technology, and HR.A proven track record of delivering results through positive leadership and continuous improvement.A keen understanding of community dynamics and the local political landscape.Advocates for a green agenda.Don’t meet every single requirement?
