Rework Technician

Carbon60 are currently looking for a PCB Rework Technician to join an interesting, low-volume electronics Manufacturer in Basingstoke - specialising in rapid prototyping and PCB supply to various high-calibre clientele.

The right candidate will be experienced in the rework and repair of PCBs by hand and various equipment - Including Surface Mount (SMT) and Through Hole (TH) soldering.

Location: Basingstoke

Salary: �25k - �35k p/a

Working Hours: 08:30 - 17:00, Mon - Fri - Overtime opportunities available (1.5x)

Responsibilities:

• Rework and repair of SMT and Through Hole Soldering, by hand or with aids - Track and Pad Repairs, Wire Linking, Modifications and Board Repairs.
• Operation of Soldering Irons, Infrared BGA Placement and Reflow, Hot Air Convection Reflow and X-Ray Machines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar Rework position with an array of components, BGA and QFN
• Able to interpret various documentation and schematics: Assembly drawings, bills of material, etc
• Can identify various components
• Ability to inspect close work
• Possess a methodical approach to problem solving
• Have a keen eye for detail and possess a high level of accuracy
