Principal Engineer - Safety & Environmental EngineeringJob title: Principal Engineer - Fire & Explosion Safety - DSEARLocation: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular roleWhat you'll be doing:Completing DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activitiesMentoring and developing junior engineersReviewing and producing explosion safety strategiesDeveloping and producing processes and policy documentation for the siteYour skills and experiences:Experience of working in an explosion safety engineering environment and applying various methods of hazard analysisDSEAR risk assessment production including hazard identification and analysis (preferably from a high hazard industry)A thorough understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) and Proven track record in implementing business processes to achieve strategic objectivesDegree qualified in a STEM disciplineCOMAH - Control of Major Accident Hazards (Safety Case support) experienceSite Asset Protection experience & Fire Safety Engineering experienceYou'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. You will be working with six people from principals to apprentices, liaising with operational managers, heads of departments as well as the Health & Safety teams.
