POSITION SUMMARY As a Production Manager we’re looking for you to bring a strong background in print and vendor management.Primary responsibility will be the management and production of direct mail.Knowledge of lettershop, mailing and the postal service is strongly recommended.Experience in an agency environment is a plus.We service a wide variety of marketing verticals (pharmaceutical, financial and banking, retail, travel & entertainment and non-profit), Production experience in one of these verticals is high priority. JOB DUTIES(* denotes essential function)Self-motivated to be the Production subject matter expert in the day-to-day operations of all assigned accounts.Expand knowledge of print, lettershop and USPS regulations through execution of more complex campaigns (i.e. multi-drop mailings, increased segmentation strategy, creative testing and mail tracking including back end reporting analysis).Develop expanded industry knowledge within assigned verticals.Expand knowledge of and integration with other internal operating groups (account management, creative, data, strategy and digital).Manage production activities on assigned account, collaborating with internal teams, from concept development through completion.Daily responsibilities include but not limited :
o
All responsibilities of Production Coordinator at an increased complexity level.
o
Involvement in campaign planning, creative review, and package analysis.
o
Cost savings initiatives.
o
Development of program management tools and processes.
o
Maintain open line of communication with internal teams.
o
Develop production schedules which include key dates for meeting requested mail date.Create job specifications that best fit the Creative strategy, budget and objectives.Estimate all projects – work with internal teams on budgets, and negotiate with external vendors to obtain best pricing.Execute to estimates to ensure the company’s profit goals are met while achieving customer satisfaction; strong problem-solving skills will be required.Meet tight deadlines while successfully executing programs.Implement a production evaluation process to identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and profitability.Postal expertise is a must – domestic, standard and non-profit mail preferred.JOB QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree. A combination of education and work experience can be substituted.2+ years previous experience in a similar print procurement or print management environmentExperience in managing a budget and achieving targetsExperience negotiating pricingExcellent client facing and customer service skills, with an ability to build relationships and develop new businessCommercially strong and numerateCommitted, resilient and prepared to work extra hours as requiredExperience of working in an environment where priorities are constantly changing. Can manage change, and keep a clear perspective of end goalsTeam worker, with positive outlook who can inspire and motivates peersFocus on project management, timely delivery and achievement of Key Performance IndicatorsIntermediate skill level with MS OfficeOrganized with excellent attention to detailThe salary range for this position is $80k minimum - $100k maximum per annum.
