Delta Controls is looking for a Product Strategy Manager to join the product strategy team. This person will report to the Chief Technology Officer, you will guide strategic direction of the set of business units at Delta Controls. This includes managing the overall product roadmaps and strategies. This involves researching products and technologies, and analyzing market conditions. You will develop business cases qualifying the present and future values for new product initiatives and strategic decisions that drive future direction. You will leverage your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with external resources to help define product vision and scope requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, assisting in the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. This requires a thorough review and analysis of market needs, trends, and other data procured from external and internal resources.Procurement and analysis of financial data to support business cases and all directional decisions.Evaluation of product vision and scope to define high level and requirements for product offering. This may involve interviews with user groups, and meetings with customers to develop use cases.Analysis of incoming feature requests and customer needs.Attending trade shows to represent the company and to perform market research on competing products and technologies in the industry.External announcements of product release and updates.Overall responsibility for each of the products in your product platform, from conception to release or launch. This also includes all aspects of functionality, quality, packaging, ordering, documentation etc.Assist in the planning, coordination and production of the product launch.Coordinate research on new products and innovative technologies for use with the Delta product line. Attend relevant trade shows or external customer meetings pertaining to the industry.Define needs and assign internal resources for research purposes, to help determine technical and financial feasibility of defined development directions.Work with Sales and Marketing to define product pricing strategy for existing and new products.Present at conferences to explain product and company direction. Engage with attendees to develop relationships and gain confidence in corporate direction to help promote adoption, sales and goodwill towards the company.Help manage feature requests during the lifecycle of the product lines.Content for launch material to be provided to sales and marketing.May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.Required or Strongly Preferred Skills and Abilities Strong Leadership skills.
Confident public speaker and presenter.
Strong business knowledge.
Analytical abilities; effective at developing quantitative market and product analyses in terms of product sales, adoption rates, multi-channel rollout and product pricing.
Ability to be forward thinking and analyze impacts of different scenarios on the existing products and their platforms.
Excellent understanding of building automation and current product architectures.
Clear understanding of the product to market process.
Good understanding of technology and the current trends and directions.
Well rounded understanding of goals and user interactions with building automation systems. Minimum Qualifications and Experience Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering or Automation field.
10+ Years’ experience in Building Automation System design and implementation.
