Region: HertfordshireI have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor on a permanent basis, working on residential / social housing projects, based out of their offices near Watford, Herts.The company are a family run business that have been around for approximately 35 years. They have a wide and varied client base which include Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Private Sector Clients.The business has a young, dynamic and energetic management team with a strong business plan in place; they are further developing their client base and this is great opportunity to join a growing business.They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record working on Social Housing projects; with experience of decent homes, kitchens and bathrooms, external works, roof renewals, voids, disrepairs and full refurbishments.Duties include:Prepare a list of enquiries at procurement stage and collate tender information which will be sent out to supply chain for pricingAnalyse tender returns and collate information for discussion with teamSupport the team to increase and improve upon existing supply chainCompile and issue sub contract orders and ensure these are signed and returned along with any supporting documentationReview and sign off on any sub contract applications and prepare and send out payment noticesUndertake detailed internal and external cashflow forecastsProduce monthly AFA’s for clientsProduce monthly valuations and agree with clientsAgree Final Accounts with supply chain and clients in a timely mannerWork closely with the site team to ensure that all cost are recorded, provide support if neededIssue variation orders if required, ensuring relevant documentation is available to substantiateAttend site visits to provide assistance and support to both the commercial and operational side of the businessCompile, complete and issue detailed and accurate CVR’s to directorsIdeal Candidate: Self-motivated with experience working in the Social Housing sectorAble to work autonomouslyAbility to work as part of a teamGood communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency using office IT applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word or equivalent softwareBe punctual and have good timekeepingCan take instruction from more senior managers and effectively carry out tasksFull UK Drivers LicenceIf you are a Quantity Surveyor and you are interested in this role, please apply with an updated CV or call Rob on: 07733 529 573
