Our client, a prestigious, highly-regarded London law firm, are looking for a risk and compliance analyst to join their central R&C team. Previous experience in a risk, conflicts and compliance role within a law firm is essential. f you have been working within a risk and compliance team and are looking to take the next step into a highly progressive law firm then this is a fantastic opportunity.
Expected duties include:
Carrying out anti-money laundering (AML) checks.
Analysing potential conflicts for the firm.
Reviewing documentation submitted from new clients.
Creating and updating client records.
Utilising database systems for customer due diligence (CDD) purposes.
Liaising with staff, fee earners and stakeholders within the business regarding their client’s compliance matters.
Other ad hoc projects and duties within the team.
An understanding of SRA regulations and being proficient in completing AML enquires and a sharp eye for potential conflicts is needed. The core skillsets needed to thrive in this team include being able to work as part of a cooperative group, disciplined organisation skills, strong communication skills (both verbal and written), and a passion for building relationships in a very client centred environment.
