We're searching for a committed SEN Teacher to join a school community, providing crucial support to KS2/3 students with diverse needs. As a valued member of this team, you'll guide students aged 5 to 19 on their educational journey, nurturing both their academic progress and personal growth.

About The School: This school, established in Apri#####23, is dedicated to offering tailored support for students with various Special Educational Needs. With a capacity for 50 students, they prioritise a holistic educational approach, emphasising not only academic advancement but also social skills, personal development, and readiness for future endeavours.

  • Position: SEN Teacher
  • Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire
  • Contract Type: Full-time
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Salary: Paid according to scale

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching to cater to the diverse needs of students, fostering progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Design and implement a dynamic curriculum that includes life skills development and preparation for qualifications.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Teaching Assistants, fostering their professional development and teamwork.
  • Uphold school policies, with a strong focus on safeguarding and equal opportunities for all students.
  • Monitor and address students' health, well-being, and personal care needs, collaborating closely with support teams as necessary. Essential Criteria:
  • Qualified Teacher status (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated success in achieving excellent outcomes for students with Special Educational Needs
  • Thorough understanding of a curriculum tailored to suit the needs of SEN learners
  • Previous experience working with students presenting a variety of complex needs
  • Solid knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures
  • Ability to cultivate positive and supportive relationships with students, fostering a nurturing learning environment
