Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching to cater to the diverse needs of students, fostering progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Design and implement a dynamic curriculum that includes life skills development and preparation for qualifications.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Teaching Assistants, fostering their professional development and teamwork.
- Uphold school policies, with a strong focus on safeguarding and equal opportunities for all students.
- Monitor and address students' health, well-being, and personal care needs, collaborating closely with support teams as necessary. Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher status (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated success in achieving excellent outcomes for students with Special Educational Needs
- Thorough understanding of a curriculum tailored to suit the needs of SEN learners
- Previous experience working with students presenting a variety of complex needs
- Solid knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures
- Ability to cultivate positive and supportive relationships with students, fostering a nurturing learning environment
