Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic educator eager to empower students with special educational needs (SEN)? We're delighted to partner with a prestigious educational institution in Darwen, devoted to delivering outstanding education and support to students aged 10 - 19, including those with Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, and similar conditions. Presently, we're in search of a talented SEN Teacher to join their dynamic team.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you'll be at the forefront of providing exceptional education to students with diverse needs, ensuring they receive the personalised support and encouragement they deserve to excel academically and emotionally. Your role will encompass designing and delivering tailored lessons, adapting teaching approaches to suit individual learning preferences, and collaborating closely with support staff to foster inclusive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Craft, deliver, and evaluate lessons tailored to meet the unique requirements of SEN students. Tailor instruction to accommodate varying learning styles and capabilities. Forge partnerships with support staff and external agencies to craft personalised learning strategies. Offer continual assessment and feedback to track student progress and guide instructional strategies. Nurture a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting student engagement and well-being.

Skills and Qualifications:

We're seeking candidates with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and prior experience working with SEN students, ideally within a similar educational context. You should demonstrate a strong grasp of SEN methodologies and interventions, alongside exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. A dedication to ongoing professional growth and a genuine passion for fostering the holistic development of SEN students are imperative.
