Job Description
Fantastic opportunity to work for a rapidly growing manufacturer with a global customer base, who are looking to attract into the team a Senior Buyer to support future projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Buyer who wants to maximise purchasing efficiencies with new and existing suppliers, to ensure the best cost, quality and service levels are achieved.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, as Senior Buyer key responsibilities will be to: -
Provide input on contract terms and conditions, assessing suitability of contracts for products and services to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Manage Capex purchasing projects.
Procure materials and parts in line with MRP requirements to specific specifications and certification requirements.
Have involvement with strategic project teams.
Making decisions re inventory levels.
Manage supplier performance.
The successful candidate will: -
Have gained their buying experience within a manufacturing environment.
Be able to pay close attention to detail, in particular to supplier contracts.
Have excellent communication skills.
Will have used MRP or similar.
Will pay attention to detail.
