Role Overview
As Senior Corporate Travel Manager, you are responsible for the successful delivery of travel across all our key clients, working with the team, and driving success. While this role will focus on Corporate Travel, as a dynamic and collective business, there will be requirements for engagement and support with the Group/Event Travel and Entertainment Travel aspects of the division.
You will have an opportunity to grow and develop in a fast paced and hands-on role; from managing large scale budgets, on-boarding new accounts, client management, driving technological developments, nurturing a team, to providing a strategic approach to the progression of Corporate Travel within the business. You will also work with other business departments on travel projects providing an efficient and effective approach to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth project delivery.
You will be required to manage and tackle business challenges, whether internal or external, by developing relationships and problem solving with the ultimate objective of delivering an unparalleled service to customers and clients.
Skills and attributes
• Ideally a minimum of 5 years travel industry experience.
• Proven knowledge of a GDS is a must (Ideally Galileo/Smartpoint).
• Extensive expertise of domestic and international airports and cities and all associated logistics related to business/corporate travel
• Extensive corporate account management experience is vital.
• Knowledge of Online Booking Tools, both from an Agent and Client perspective.
• Understanding of vendor technologies to manage client profiles, information, policies, compliance and other necessary processes.
• Provide strategic planning and recourse management.
• Preparation of travel budgets and ability to manage those effectively.
• Business plan input showcasing current client opportunities, new opportunities, potential risks, process development to assist with division strategy to execute a company growth plan.
• Providing support with forecasting and revenue projections.
• Ensuring consistency of company standards internally and externally enhancing the brand.
• Demonstrate outstanding time management, problem solving and organisational skills.
• Delivering a great customer experience and maintaining an above and beyond attitude.
• Line management experience of small to medium teams.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with confidence, or as part of a team.
• Quick learning, able to adapt to new and an ever-changing environment.
• Strong work ethic and team player attitude, with strong independent initiative.
• Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in other languages is a bonus.
