Job Description:
Our client, a globally renowned project and cost management consultancy, specialises in delivering leading sustainable solutions across a wide spectrum of sectors including Energy, Infrastructure, Defence, and Industrial. They are expanding their Northern Function Estimating and Cost team and actively looking for Estimators/Senior Estimators to support a high-profile client commission/project. The role offers consultants the flexibility to work seamlessly between head office and client sites.
Location:
With offices strategically located throughout the UK, you'll be allocated to the one nearest to you, with occasional visits to client initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are financially feasible and delivered within budgetary constraints while meeting stringent quality standards and exceeding client expectations.
Integrate proven Estimating methods with creative thinking and cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional results.
Collaborate with the Scheduling Team to integrate and align cost models and schedules.
Industry:
Infrastructure, Energy/Renewables, Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind Farms, Highways, Rail, Nuclear, Defence, Petrochemical
Roles and Salaries:
Senior Estimator: £60,000pa - £65,000pa. Framework-governed with flexibility, requiring occasional travel as per client needs, with affiliation to at least one head office.
Estimator: £50,000pa - £55,000pa. Competitive salary based on experience, potential for remote work with visibility for seniors, and travel as per client needs, with affiliation to at least one office.
Associate Director: £70,000pa - £75,000pa + car allowance. Competitive salary based on experience, with travel as per client needs, and affiliation to at least one office.
Job Requirements:
Remote work with occasional travel between client sites and your main office.
Understanding of cost drivers and ability to convert engineering data into meaningful cost drivers.
Providing professional advice to clients' stakeholders.
Experience in Energy, Infrastructure, Defence, Nuclear Rail, Highways or Industrial sectors.
Requirements:
Recognised diploma or degree, or qualified by experience. Ideally, membership in a relevant professional association (RICS, ACostE, ICES, AACE). Proficiency in Estimating from first principles and experience with Estimating software (e.g., CostX).
